Ragnar at the 2019 ITG!

Ragnar made quite a splash at the 2019 International Trumpet Guild Conference this month in Miami!

BfB authors Chris Hasselbring and Dr. Kirsty Montgomery, and BfB baroque teaching artists Dr. Brian Shaw and Josh Cohen spent four days playing natural trumpets and discussing interdisciplinary education with attendees from across the U.S. and around the world.

On the final day we presented the session, "A Brass Odyssey: Using the Natural Trumpet and the History of Lip-blown Instruments to Teach Beginners." We were humbled by the enthusiastic response, and gratified that our presence at ITG has had an immediate impact, with new programs being initiated in FL, NY, CA, WA, Australia, and Taiwan, expanding meaningful brass education to countless young people from around the world.

Many thanks to the administration and staff at ITG for the incredible support!
