Biography
Colleen Scampini has been an educator in the Chicago area for 17 years, 15 years with CPS. She is a National Board-Certified Teacher and holds a BA in Elementary Education with Minors in Music and Spanish from Benedictine University (2002), and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University (2006). As a musician, Colleen has performed with the Benedictine Concert Band for four years and the Lane Tech Community Band for two years. As an educator she has taught all grade levels, 1st through 8th, including all classroom subjects. Presently, Colleen is a music educator at Carl Von Linne Elementary in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago where she teaches general music, beginning band, and Little Kids Rock (modern band).
