The Pickett "Tromba 1" has a hemispherical cup similar to a Bach 1 1/2 C, a flat yet slightly modified rim, and a traditional stepped backbore. The three piece package comes with interchangeable backbores so you can use it on either a historic replica or on an instrument with a modern receiver. The "Tromba 1" provides more pitch flexibility when playing without vents (as a natural trumpet) while helping to slot upper resister partials. It works equally well with vents, making for an overall more authentic "Baroque" experience.
